Megan Lecornu

Dr. Megan LeCornu is the proud owner of Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics, serving the beautiful communities of Southern California. She’s a passionate orthodontist with a deep love for teaching, and if you ever catch her at a continuing education event, you'll see her sharing cases and lectures that inspire both students and colleagues alike.

Her expertise isn’t just anecdotal—she’s been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and she's a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. On top of that, she’s a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, staying at the forefront of her field.

Dr. LeCornu’s academic journey started with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, while also minoring in Psychology at the University of Denver. She then graduated from Harvard School of Dentistry with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree before heading to the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her orthodontic training.

When she’s not in the office transforming smiles, you can find her outdoors—whether it's snowboarding during the winter or hiking in the summer, Dr. LeCornu loves adventure just as much as she loves orthodontics.

A Strong Foundation Built on Education and Experience

Dr. LeCornu’s journey into orthodontics started with a sharp mind and a hunger for knowledge. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (with a minor in Psychology!) from the University of Denver. But she didn’t stop there—oh no! She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from none other than Harvard School of Dentistry, a name we all know represents the highest level of academic achievement. And after that? She headed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to complete her orthodontic training.

Pretty impressive, right? But here’s what’s even more exciting: Dr. LeCornu doesn’t just rest on her laurels. She’s taken that world-class education and turned it into real-world success, providing incredible care for her patients in Southern California.

A Passion for Teaching and Innovation

Dr. LeCornu isn’t just a practitioner—she’s a teacher. She loves sharing her knowledge with fellow orthodontists, and if you attend one of her continuing education lectures, you’ll quickly realize why she’s a highly sought-after speaker. She’s published multiple peer-reviewed articles, solidifying her place as a thought leader in the field. But it’s her approachable and down-to-earth style that makes her such a standout.

She’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (that’s no easy feat!) and a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. But at the heart of it all, her mission is simple: to help patients achieve their dream smiles while educating the next generation of orthodontists.

Outside the Office: Finding Balance in Nature

Now, I always say that life isn’t just about work, and Dr. LeCornu exemplifies that perfectly. When she’s not creating beautiful smiles, you’ll find her embracing the great outdoors. Whether she’s shredding the slopes on her snowboard in the winter or hiking through the mountains in the summer, Dr. LeCornu knows the importance of finding balance in life.
